Angela Blažanović is a visual artist based in London, UK. She graduated from BA (Hons) Photography from London Metropolitan University in 2019. Through a performative approach between photography and sculpture the artist investigates the symbiotic relationship between human and landscape. The overlooked & discarded, traces of human presence and the attachment to landscapes are central themes in Blažanović practice.
In her project Fragments of a River Blažanović creates compositions of found objects from the bed of the River Thames at low tide. Drawing on the aesthetics of Dutch still life paintings the artist transforms discarded objects into fragile compositions, highlighting the beauty that lies within.
